What is stereotypes doing to our minds???

Stereotypes could be considered both friendly or unfriendly depending on which side you lay. Those who consider to stereotype to an extent should be considered ignorant because they seem to ignore the difference between individuals, and consider everyone to be the same. Its rude to make an assumption based on someone's image to decide what group they would better fit in. For example a stereotype that is often used is that Americans are friendly, generous, tolerant, arrogant, but also impatient. Which is definitely not true, because not all Americans are generous and friendly. But yet that i show most people view Americans. Since stereotypes are normally not true like the example i gave you, i do not understand why they are so important. It is just a way for enemies to lie and try and make fun of each other. The aggression used towards stereotypes is unnecessary it is doing nothing but tearing people away from each other for reasons that not even true. The one place that stereotyping is the worse is when you are in high school. Everyone tries to be something they are not because they want to fit it, or because they do not want to be someone the cool kids make fun of. In high school the jocks who are the guys that play an important sport and they are good at it. Which would normally be football and basketball. The Jocks are considered the cute guys that all the girls want, they are also known as the dumb kids in the school. Who often pick on the people that are not as popular as they are. Which would normally be the nerds or the geeks, or even the the emo's. No one likes being stereotyped so why do we all do it. It does not only hurt people but makes you an even worse person for doing it. Hopefully the world will be a better place and will get better and stop stereotyping everyone and will give everyone a chance.
